Hackney Council is investing more than £1million into refurbishing existing play areas in various parks across the borough, as part of the council’s commitment to rebuilding a greener and healthier Hackney following the pandemic.

The improvements, agreed last week at Cabinet, will vary from site-to-site and may take the form of expansion, complete refurbishment or partial refurbishment depending on the need of each site. Where substantial changes are proposed public consultation will be undertaken.
