An investment fund that puts the views of Council residents at the heart of changes to where they live has launched with a call-out for ideas to improve Hackney’s Council estates.
The Residents’ Estate Improvement Fund will help Council residents deliver the changes they want to see on their estates – whether it’s enhancing what’s already in place or creating brand new facilities. This can include anything from play equipment, seating and planting and landscaping, to growing areas or security improvements.
Residents are being invited to share their suggestions for improvements to their estate and their priorities for investment from the fund. These will then be worked up into deliverable proposals, to be put in place by the Council in collaboration with local residents over the next year.
The Residents’ Estate Improvement Fund 2020 is open until 16 October. Have your say now.
